Geneva Cottingham

Mrs. Geneva Ann Thompson Cottingham, 69, of Prescott, died Saturday, November 30, 2002, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born on February 2, 1933, in Big Springs, Texas, to Jerry S. and Alta Evans Thompson.

She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Cottingham, who died Sept. 23, 2002, by one son Carlton Ray Cottingham, who died Sept. 11, 2002, and by nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: two sons: Gene and Dean Cottingham both of Prescott; four daughters, Joyce Mason of Bodcaw, Jo Ann Thompson and Connie Cox both of Prescott, and Tammy Cottingham of Vilonia; three brothers, Vernon Thompson of Prescott, J.Y. Thompson of Stephens, and Donald Thompson of Michigan; one sister, Mary Helen Hollis of Waldo; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial followed in Midway Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
