Corine SockwellPublished Wednesday, November 27, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneCorine Sockwell, 73, died November 13, 2002. Mrs. Sockwell was born August 2, 1929, in Emmet, to the late Nellie Washington and Willie Murphy. Her husband, Lee Sockwell and daughter, Connie Hendrix, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons: Karl Wilson, Kenneth Murphy, and James Murphy of Prescott, and Michael Murphy of Hope; three daughters: Brenda Martin and Lynn Murphy of Prescott, and Margaret McGee of Ashdown; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one aunt: Mary Smith of Prescott; a very special friend, Karen Bell of Prescott; and a host of relatives and friends.
