Eunie D. May

Eunie D. (Dougan) May, 82, of Hope died Friday, April 9, 1999, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs. May was born December 12, 1918, in Fullbright, Texas, to Robert and Beulah Dougan. She was raised in Nevada County near Emmet. Mrs. May was a member of Central Church of Christ near Hope. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester May, who died December 13, 1998; and two sons, Bill and John May.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Dorothy May and Sherman and Earletta May, all of Hope; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy and Shirl McCoy of Ashdown and Sandra May of Hope; a daughter-in-law, Ann Shelton of Texarkan, Ark.; a brother, William Dougan of Fayetteville; one sister, Emma Fomby of Center, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.

Funeral services were Sunday, April 11, at Hope Church of Christ with Tommy Mounts and Harold Freeman officiating. Burial was in Central Cemetery south of Hope under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope.
