Hubert JonesPublished Wednesday, November 13, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Hubert C. Jones, 85, of Redwater, Texas (formerly of Emmet), died Saturday, November 9, 2002, at Reunion Plaza Retirement and Senior Care Center, Texarkana, Texas. He was born February 25, 1917, in Nevada County, to Melvin A. and Elizabeth Fryar Jones. He was a retired meter reader with Texas Gas Transportation Corporation. He was a Baptist and a Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Francine Mohon Jones of Redwater, Texas; one sone, Ronald E. Jones and Nora of Maud, Texas; one daughter, Elizabeth A. Bilbery and Hubert of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.; one brother, Artie Paul Jones of Forrest Hill, Calif.; one sister, Selvie Crabb of Casa Grande, Ariz.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2002 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Bill Christian officiating. Burial was in Snell Cemetery in Emmet.
