William SmithpetersPublished Wednesday, November 13, 2002 in the Gurdon TimesWilliam J. Bill' Smithpeters, 84, of Okolona, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002. Mr. Smithpeters was a farmer and attended the Maryetta Pentecostal Church in Okolona. He is survived by his wife, Ines Smithpeters; two sons, Dwight Smithpeters and David Smithpeters, both of Okolona; two daughters, Ina Rogers of Curtis and Ann Clark of Okolona; a brother, J.C. Smithpeters of Okolona; four sisters, Lois Davis of Longview, Texas, Esther James of Payola, Okla., Freda Sue Barfield of Bald Knob, and Opal Anderson of Arkadelphia; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mr. Smithpeters was preceded in death by a son, William Paul Smithpeters. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 7, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel in Gurdon, with Rev.
