Roosevelt NormanPublished Wednesday, April 14, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneRoosevelt Norman, 85, of Prescott died March 24, 1999. Mr. Norman was born December 25, 1913, in Prescott to the late William Norman and Laura Sandifer Norman. He was a member of Mt. Cana Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and Sunday school superintendent. He kindly touched many lives as he worked in the Prescott School District as a school bus driver for 28 years and then retired. Survivors include two sons, Roosevelt Norman Jr., and his wife, Faye, and Horace Norman; one daughter, Brenda Norman Cavil, and her husband, Bill; one brother, Willie Norman; two sisters, Sarah Mae Winfrey and Nell Marie Norman; four grandsons, Earl Norman, Christopher Norman, Terence Norman and Jason Cavil; two granddaughters, Adrienne Cavil and Shanna Norman; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 30, at Mt. Cana Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Walters officiating. Burial was in Sweet Home Cemetery under the direction of Marks Funeral Home of Magnolia.
