Prescott put 53 points on the board against Fouke, but the Wolves weren't as dominant as the score would seem.

The 53-14 homecoming win was important as the Wolves are now 7-2 on the year and 4-1 in 7AAA action, with only league-leading Ashdown left on the schedule.

Prescott capitalized on Fouke mistakes and big plays to score 24 first quarter points, but the Wolves bogged down the remainder of the game.

After winning the opening toss, Prescott elected to defer and give the ball to Fouke to get the game started.

The Panthers moved from the 26 to the 32 before losing a fumble, with the Wolves falling on the loose ball at the Fouke 33.

Two plays later, it was 6-0 Prescott, with R.J. Vanhook going in from three yards out after Chris Hopper was brought down short of the goal on the first play.

The point after was no good, and with 9:47 left in the first, the Wolves took the lead for good.

Fouke lost four yards in three plays on its next possession and punted to midfield.

Again, the Wolves used little time and few plays to score a second time.

Zach Martin connected with Jarrod Norwood and Jason Butler to move Prescott downfield, with the drive capped by Hopper going in from the four.

The monkey remained on Prescott's back when it came to scoring the PAT, as the Wolves were unsuccessful on a two-point conversion attempt.

But, with 6:21 showing, Prescott led 12-0.

Butler booted the kick into the end zone for a touchback, putting Fouke at its 20.

The Panthers offense was unable to move and lined up to punt on fourth down. However, the snap sailed over Brandon Larey's head and was recovered by Butler in the end zone for another six Prescott points.

Another two-point conversion attempt went awry, but the Wolves were up 18-0 with 4:40 to go in the first.

Prescott's defense remained intense as the Panthers were unable to move forward and had to punt after Larey was hammered, fumbled and fortunate the ball went out of bounds.

The punt was fielded by A.J. Lewis at the Wolf 49 and taken to the Panther 38.

Lewis was called upon on the first play as Martin winged a pass to him for a four-yard gain.

The Martin-Lewis combine came into play three snaps later as Martin fired to Lewis, who made a one-handed catch on a 23-yard touchdown pass.

The failed point after left the score at 24-0 as the first quarter came to an end.

Fouke began the second period at its 25 after the kick, but went nowhere fast as Joe Stueart picked off a Larey pass and returned the interception to the Panther 32.

After two incomplete passes, Coach Greg Smith went to what has been a consistently successful play for Prescott, a double reverse ending with a halfback option pass.

Once Lewis got the handoff, he found Norwood at the goal line for Prescott's fifth touchdown of the night with 11:21 left in the half.

Martin connected with Lewis on the two-point conversion to make it 32-0.

At this point, the Panthers had yet to be in Prescott territory offensively, and rarely ventured into Wolf-land on defense.

The ensuing kick went out of bounds, putting the ball on the Fouke 35.

The Panther offense would find gaps in the Wolf defense and be able to move the ball downfield for Fouke's first touchdown.

Fouke ran 13 plays and was aided by an interference call against Prescott.

Jason Stovall went in from the one at the 4:39 mark to put the Panthers on the board. The PAT was no good, but the score was now 32-6.

There would be no more scoring for the remainder of the half as penalties prevented either team from generating much offense.
