Denver Smith

Denver Smith, 76, of Lockesburg, died Saturday, October 19, 2002, at a local hospital.

Mr. Smith was born in Bowden, February 9, 1925, to the late Dolphus and Opal Pruitt-Smith. Mr. Smith was Baptist, and a retired truck driver for CW Byers Oil.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by one son, Denver Dean Smith, and one brother, Andy Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Marige Smith of Lockesburg; three sons, Don Smith of Lockesburg, Larry Smith of Ashfown, and Watson Smith of Camden; two daughters, Kaye Jameson of Lockesburg, and Alice Skinner of Nashville; three sisters, Bonnie Daniels of West Helena, Christine Wesson of Prescott, and Barbara Smith of Mexico; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, and other relatives.

Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville with Bro. Ware Russell officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Rosston.
