John Parr

John R. Parr, 46, loving father and son, departed this life Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at a Hot Springs hospital.

Born in Little Rock, he graduated from Westwood High and Memphis Votech, both in Memphis, Tenn.

John was a painter and an avid fisherman. He died doing what he liked best, fishing. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Royal.

John was predeceased by his father, John M. Parr, and sister, Pamela Kay Parr.

Survivors include his mother, Jodie Parr; daughter, Julia Parr Stevens and husband, David Stevens; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Lynch, Bro. Fred Tuberville, and Bro. Billy Cheshire officiating.

Graveside services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Caney Cemetery in Prescott.

Pall bearers include Mark Wallace, Jackie Hill, Charlie Alvarez, Danny Spencer, Louie McMunn, and Buddy Ray Spencer
