At least we have enjoyed a few days of nice weather.

We are glad to report Danny Pennington's mother, Leola Launius, from Sparkman is home doing fine after heart surgery.

Louis McPhearson and Harvey Barham from Dallas spent a few days at Harvey's home here.

George and Dixie Clary visited George and me Tuesday night.

This is not really news, but we are so proud of Harvey Taylor, who visits his mother, Lucy Taylor, a resident at Hillcrest Care and Rehab, almost daily.

Bob and Lori Cummings entertained their families with a cookout at their home on Sunday.

We are happy to have LaNell Nash back home to stay. She has worked away from home for several months.

It is a pleasure to wish a dear friend and long time neighbor, Donnie Rinkle, a 92nd birthday. Donnie has two sisters, Oleta Barham of Longview, Texas, and Lucy Taylor of Hillcrest Rehab and a dear niece, Launita Felts, of Conroe, Texas.

On Friday Glendene Haynie and her family, George Howard and Jerrie from Hope, James Edward and Merilyn from Magnolia, Earl Wayne and Glendene's only daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Delmer Tyree, from Prescott met at Western Sizzlin in Arkadelphia to celebrate April birthdays. Those having birthdays were James Edward, Joyce and Merilyn. Others attending were Rayburn and Mary Powell from North Little Rock, Hazel Powell from Little Rock, and Pershing and Mary Cox and George and Joey Cox from Prescott. Everyone had a good time visiting and eating.

Danny and Cherrie Wilson honored their daughter, Katy, on her 12th birthday with a party at the Wolves Drive-In in the banquet room on Friday night. About 17 guests helped her celebrate by eating hamburgers, French fries and cake.
