Arrests have been made in the Sept. 11, 2001, murder of a carnival worker in Prescott.

According to a release from the Prescott Police Department, Recordo Walker, 20, Edwin Williams, 18, and Rodney Walker, 20, all of Prescott, have been charged with capital murder and robbery in the case.

A fourth suspect, Dana Knox, 32, has been charged for hindering apprehension or prosecution.

When the fair was in town during 2001, Harold Reed was working for the carnival company, operating one of the rides.

On the evening of Sept. 11, he was last seen leaving the fairgrounds in the company of two young black males. His body was discovered Sept. 14, in an overgrown lot about two blocks from the Nevada County Fairground.

The PPD and Arkansas State Police began an intensive investigation, conducting several interviews and checking clues in the case during the past year.

As a result of the investigation, the aforementioned four people have been arrested.

Capital murder is a class Y felony, punishable by 10-40 years or life in prison. However, the jury could decide to give the suspects the death penalty, should the evidence warrant.
