Donald Hicks

Mr. Donald W. Hicks, 53, of Prescott, died Thursday, September 26, 2002, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born on June 21, 1949, in Caney to Hilton and Ruby Shelton Hicks.

He was a truck driver with Chamberlain/Chamber Door Manufacturing Co. in Hot Springs and Little Rock. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Prescott.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hilton Hicks.

Survivors include, his wife of 34 years, Linda Sue Cox Hicks of Prescott; two daughters, Yolanda Hicks Calley and husband, Nick, of Gurdon and Sarah Hicks of Presoctt; his mother, Ruby Hicks of Hope; two brothers, John Hicks of Caney and Farrell Hicks of Hope; one sister, Deborah Wilson of Mt. Holly and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2002, Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Chad Brandon and Rev. Raymond Hicks officiating. Burial was in Caney Cemetery in Caney. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Central Baptist Church, Brother's Keepers Fund, Prescott or Morris Baptist Church, Caney or Shady Grove Baptist Church in Prescott.
