Hoyle Loe

Hoyle (Shorty) Loe, 74, died August 31, 2002, at his residence in Birdsboro, Berks County, Penn.

He was born July 3, 1928, at Bodcaw, son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Edith Baker Loe.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty L. Romano Loe; a daughter, Donna M. Mountford of Holland, Bucks County, Penn.; a sister, Betty S. McClane of Camden; four brothers, Arvis and Herley both of Camden, Dalton of Prescott, and O.D. of Jefferson, Texas; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He was employed 20 years as a millwright, first by Bethlehem Steel Mines, Morgantown, Penn., until the mine's closing in 1977, and then by Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem, Penn., until an injury forced his retirement in 1978.

He was member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Birdsboro.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Union Township in Penn.
