Jackie Cottingham

Mr. Jackie Gene Cottingham, 71, of Prescott, died Monday, September 23, 2002, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

He was born on September 17, 1931, in Prescott, to Floyd and Gracie Odell Cromwell Cottingham.

He was retired from construction/road repair work, gravel hauling, and the oil field industry.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Prescott. He was preceded in death by his parents, by one son, Carlton Ray Cottingham, by one brother, Bennie Floyd Cottingham, and by one sister, Emma Sue Cottingham.

Survivors include: his wife, Geneva Ann Thompson Cottingham of Prescott; two sons, Gene Cottingham and Dean Cottingham both of Prescott; four daughters, Joyce Mason of Bodcaw, Connie Cox and JoAnn Johnson both of Prescott, and Tammy Cottingham of Vilonia; one brother, Billy Ray Cottingham of Prescott; six sisters, Virginia Jerry of El Dorado, Floy Richardson and Ola Faye Lavender both of Little Rock, Marilyn Evans, Helen Jo Huskey, and Sandra Still all of El Dorado, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2002, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial followed in Midway Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

Family received friends, Wednesday, September 25, 2002, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
