Mary StaffordPublished Wednesday, September 18, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneMary E. Stafford, 70,of Prescott, died Friday, September 6, 2002. Stafford was born January 1, 1932, in Nevada County to Jodie and Rosie Lola Jackson Young. She was a housewife and a member of the Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Prescott. Cherishing her memory are: three brothers, George Young of Prescott, Jimmy Young of California, and Edward Young of Prescott; two sisters: Betty Austin of California and Deloris Malone of Prescott; two stepsons, Sam Stafford of Prescott and Willie A. Smith of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Stafford, and two sister, Bobbie Young and Daisy Nell Brown. Services were Saturday, September 14, 2002, at 1 p.m. at the Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Prescott with Rev. Daniel Lee officiating. Interment was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott.
