James Cole Sr.

James Edward Cole, Sr., of Prescott, died September 5, 2002, in his home in Prescott.

He was employed for many years at Prescott Builder Supply Company and retired from the City of Prescott.

He was born on April 22, 1937, in Prescott.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny L. Cole.

He leaves to cherish his memories, four sons: James Cole, Jr., Howard E. Cole, Jerome J. Cole and John A. Cole all of Prescott; two daughters, Stephanie Cole and Tewonnia Cole-Franklin (Orlando) of Prescott; one sister-in-law, Verdia L. Cole of Prescott; one nephew, Johnny L. Cole, Jr. (Lorraine) of Prescott; many aunts and uncles; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.

Active pallbearers were J.D. Randle, Vernon Livingston, Thomas Johnson, James Vanhook, Ben Griffin and Lee Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers were James Cole, Jr., Howard Cole, Jerome Cole, John Cole, Tracy Cole, and Jamaal Cole. Flower bearers were ushers.

Services were held September 9, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Prescott with Rev. Henry L. Bell, officiating, Elder LeRoy Sworn, pastor.

Interment was in New Salem Cemetery in Rosston.

Service entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home in Hope.
