Christmas ornaments now in at ChamberBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, September 4, 2002 in the Nevada County Picayune They're here. The collectable Christmas tree ornaments are now in and can be picked up at the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce. The ornaments feature the design of the 1911 Nevada County Courthouse. The Christmas balls are maroon and limited in number. They will cost $10 each, and a wire stand can be purchased for an additional $2.50. Once this ornament has been produced, the mold will be destroyed. Mary Godwin, executive director of the Chamber, said a different local image will be on each year's ornament. Those who ordered the decorations may go by the Chamber and get them, while those who haven't yet, can purchase them at the Chamber. Godwin said there were 115 ornaments pre-ordered, while the Chamber was required to purchase 288 from the company producing them.
