Robert TolandPublished Wednesday, August 21, 2002 in the Gurdon TimesRobert Lee Toland, 85, of Gurdon, died Tuesday, August 13. Mr. Toland was an operator engineer for Cape Construction Company, member of Operator Engineer Union Local 513-B of St. Louis, Mo. and a member of the First Christian Church of Gurdon. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Toland; three daughters, Lona Payne of Hot Springs, Audrey Roberts and Edith Hayes, both of Arkadelphia; sister, Elene Jester of Benton; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Toland was preceded in death by three granddaughters. Funeral services were held Friday, August 16, in Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Sheets officiating.
