Charles Anderson

Charles M. Anderson, 74, of Gurdon, died Monday, August 5, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

Mr. Anderson was born May 1, 1928, in Okolona, to the late William B. and Stella Gatlin Anderson.

He was a former employee of Reynolds Metal Company and a member of the Eastern Star Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Brown of Lansing, Mich., and Charles Freeman Anderson of Gurdon; six daughters, Josie Johnson, Christine Anderson of Gurdon, Margaret Andrews of O'Fallen, Ill., Toni Green of Hot Springs Village, Edna Cooper of Arkadelphia, and Ella Williams of Hope; two sisters, Lizzie Bell Anderson and Ernestina Matthewson, both of Lansing, Mich.; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 10, at the Eastern Star Baptist Church in Smithton with Rev. Marshall Allen officiating.

Burial was in Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon by Williams Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
