Dallas LatchPublished Wednesday, August 14, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneDallas Latch, 87, of Delight, died Friday, August 9, at his home. Mr. Latch was born February 28, 1915, the son of the late Orville and Edith Latch. He was a member of the Delight Church of Christ and was a former elder. He was a retired welder and a superintendent for Trunkline. Mr. Latch is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Mary Latch; one son, Larry De Wayne Latch; one brother, Dale Latch; two sisters, Ella Faye Latch and Betty Lou Latch. Mr. Latch is survived by his wife Evelyn Latch of Delight; one son, Gary Wayne Latch; two brothers, Bill Latch and Charles Latch; two sisters, Mary Edith Baker and Elizabeth Ann Streming; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nephew, nieces and other relatives. Services were 10 a.m., Monday, August 12, at Delight Church of Christ, with Wallace Alexander officiating with Randy Hughes assisting, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Burial was in Paradise Cemetery, under the direction of Swingle Funeral Home in Salem, Illinois.
