A 25 year-old Arkadelphia man was seriously injured in a motorcycle wreck Thursday, August 1.

According to reports from the Clark County Sheriff's Office, a 911 call was received from Red Springs Road concerning a person being unable to breath. An ambulance was sent from Baptist Medical in Arkadelphia.

Shortly thereafter, a second 911 call came into the CCSO with the caller hanging up. According to reports, it was learned the victim's condition was getting worse. The victim was identified as Terry Cox. The ambulance arrived and transported him to Baptist Medical, where he was later flown to Little Rock's Baptist Medical.

Deputy Travis Vance spoke to the owner of the motorcycle, a juvenile who cannot be named, and learned Cox had asked to ride the bike. He was given permission to ride around the block, but when he did not return the owner became worried.

Kim Collins told Vance she heard a noise in her front yard and moments later an injured person came to her door. Cox asked if he could use her phone and called the owner of the bike telling him of the wreck.

The owner and some friends arrived at the scene and found Cox having difficulties breathing. 911 was called at this point.

The owner reportedly told Vance Cox had said the chain came loose on the bike resulting in him losing control.

According to the report the motorcycle was moved, with evidence showing it had left the road traveling 107 feet in a straight line, before becoming airborne at the driveway of Collins' home. the bike traveled 28 feet in the air landing 135 feet on the front wheel throwing Cox off. It then flipped several times, coming to rest 192 feet from the point it left the road.

According to hospital reports, Cox was in stable condition as of press time.
