Evans, Simpson Plan May 8 WeddingPublished Wednesday, April 14, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesClara and Eddie Fort of Okolona and Junior and Vera Evans of Pensacola, Fla., announce the engagement and marriage of their daughter, Lesa Michelle Evans, to Darrel Lewis Simpson. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Erma Buford and the late Dewey Buford of Okolona and Elzie and Florence Evans of Prescott. Miss Evans is a 1987 graduate of Gurdon High School. She is employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Delight. The prospective groom is the son of Earthline and Roosevelt Thomas and Donald and Hollis Simpson of Sparkman. He is the grandson of Arlene Gipson of Sparkman and R.C. and Versie Allen of Vaden. Mr. Simpson is a 1984 graduate of Sparkman High School. He is employed by Anthony Timberland of Beirne. The happy couple will be united in marriage May 8 at 6:00 p.m. at Gennesaret Missionary Baptist Church, 1751 Logan Street in Arkadelphia.
