Mabel RitchiePublished Wednesday, June 19, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneMabel Hart Ritchie, 97, of Prescott, died on Sunday, June 16, in North Little Rock. Mrs. Ritchie was born in Hartsville, Clark County, on April 14, 1905, to John Robert and Carrie Peeples Hart. She was a homemaker and worked beside her husband, Bryan, who was the Nevada County School Supervisor until his death in 1957. Mrs. Ritchie was then appointed the Nevada County School Supervisor until the 1970's and served in that position until her retirement. She is survived by three grandchildren: Sharman Fore Langley of Bryant; Susan Fore Nix of Hope; and Jim Fore of North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan and daughter Jenelle Ritchie Fore. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Shackelford Funeral Home with Earl Cumbie officiating.
