Estelle CarpenterPublished Wednesday, May 22, 2002 in the Gurdon TimesEstelle Marie Carpenter, 80, of Gurdon, died Sunday, May 12. Mrs. Carpenter was a homemaker and member of the Center Grove Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Mark Carpenter; three daughters Marsha Lynn Dixon of Cooksville, Md., Marlene Childres of Redfield, and Clark Stroud of Cabot; sister, Marjorie Edwards of Malvern, two grandchildren, Christina Dixon and Drew Childres; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Wednesday, May 15, at Center Grove Methodist Church with interment in Rockport Cemetery, Malvern, by Horne Funeral Home, Gurdon.
