Fred McKinnonPublished Wednesday, May 8, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneNeal Fredrick "Fred" McKinnon, 83, of Prescott, died Sunday, May 5, in Benson Nursing Home, in Nashville. He was born November 6, 1918, in Hempstead County, to Neal Phillip and Minnie Lee Tyner McKinnon. He was retired from Potlatch (Ozan Unit). He was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ, and an Army Veteran from World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Mauldin McKinnon, and by one daughter, Minnie Sue Hall, by one brother, Raymond McKinnon and by two grandchildren, John Wesley Dougan and Kevin Wayne Hall. His survivors include: Norman Fredrick McKinnon of Prescott, David Paul McKinnon of Prescott, John Kevin McKinnon of Hope, Glenn Everett McKinnon of Prescott, and Neal Edward McKinnon of Prescott; two daughters, Mary Jo Hendrix of Mena and Dorothy Dougan of Sulphur Springs; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prescott.
