Violet GillsPublished Wednesday, April 24, 2002 in the Gurdon TimesViolet Gills, 91, of Gurdon died Sunday, April 14, 2002. Gills was a homemaker, the widow of Leslie Gills, and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include; one son, Burl Gills and wife, Martha of Gurdon; eight grandchildren; Fred Tutt and wife, Nelsene, Roy Tutt and wife, Elsa, Marie Beth Gills Mitchell and husband, Lindall, and Brody Gills; 15 great-grandchildren' one great-great-grandchild; and four step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter; Maxine Tutt. Services were held Wednesday, April 17, at Sycamore Baptist Church with interment in Rose Hedge Cemetery, Gurdon by Horne Funeral Home.
