PTO Carnival PreparingPublished Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesThe Gurdon P.T.O. carnival will take place at the Gurdon Primary School Friday, April 30, from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the games are 25 cents each and may be purchased ahead of time or on the night of the carnival. To avoid standing in line the night of the carnival you are encouraged to purchase your tickets now. Tickets can be purchased at the GPS office. Numerous prizes from area merchants have been donated for bingo. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be sold the night of the carnival. The following items will be given away at 7:30 p.m. the night of the carnival: a beautiful green star quilt made and donated by Linda Calley and on display at First State Bank; a quilted, county fair winning wall hanging, made and donated by Mary McBride; and $25 worth of groceries donated by Thomason's Big Star. Your name will be put in for the drawing for each dollar you donate. Donations will be accepted starting today and throughout the carnival.
