James HuskeyPublished Wednesday, April 3, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneJames I. "Buck" Huskey, 81, of Prescott, died March 29, 2002 at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born June 20, 1920, in Blevins, to Jim and Alice Yarberry Huskey. He was a retired millwright and farmer/gardener. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Prescott. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lera Mae McCants Huskey, and by his second wife, Nell Jobe Huskey, and by several brothers and sisters. His survivors include: two sons, Donald Huskey of Texarkana, and Randy Huskey of Boyton Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Jimmie Cornelius of Prescott, Brenda Renfro Thornton of Wilmington, NC and Mary Elizabeth Freeman of Texarkana; one stepson, Hoyt Jobe of Prescott; two sisters, Florene Osborn of Prescott and Marie McMasters of Okolona; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10 a.m., Monday, April 1, 2002, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with the Rev. Neal Ridling and Rev. Chad Brandon officiating. Burial followed in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Sunday, March 31, 2002, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
