Opal Malcom

Opal Faye Malcom, 71, of Curtis, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

Malcom was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Clark County, daughter of the late Rev. Alvin Francis and Rev. Josie Dixon Francis.

She worked as a clerk in several area country and grocery stores and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Ann Nix of Curtis; two brothers, Charles Francis of Malvern and Benny Francis of Curtis; a sister, Ola Mae Jester of Gurdon; and a grandson and great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 22, in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Henson, and Rev. Bill Cato officiating. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.
