Track Records Being SoughtPublished Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesCoach Mark Shelton, Gurdon High School track coach, is trying to locate past track records for past track performance for boys and girls of GHS. Shelton said he has been unable to locate any of the old records at the school and needs them to compare past performance with the performance of present GHS athletes. Shelton asks that anyone with documented proof of track and field times, such as newspaper articles or documentation from a track meet, contact him at 353-4031 or bring the records by the school. Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
