Claude McSweenyPublished Wednesday, March 20, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneClaude "Pot" McSweeny, 74, of Prescott, died Monday, March 11, 2002, in Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. He was born May 7, 1927, in Nevada County, to John Milton and Grace Ruth Ross McSweeny. He retired after 40 eyars as a cable splicer for GTE. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and an Air Force veteran. His survivors include: his wife, Nellie Otwell McSweeny of Prescott; two sons, Mark R. McSween of Colleyville, Texas and Brad W. McSweeny of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Rhonda G. Morton of Prescott; one brother, Thurman McSweeny of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Ruby Cromer of Renton, Wash. and five grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at the Church of Christ in Prescott with Howard Horton officiating. Burial followed in the Snell Cemetery in Emmet. Family received friends Tuesday, March 12, 2002, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
