Tanna HowellPublished Wednesday, February 27, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneTanna Murry Howell, 76, of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2002. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, Outreach Leader, Adult Department 3, Past President of North Little Rock Lioness Club. Howell was a school teacher for 26 years at Camden High School, Lonoke High, Ridgeroad Jr. High, and Lakewood Elementary in North Little Rock, The Cathedral School in Little Rock, and was Past Vice President of the North Little Rock Classroom Teachers Association and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her husband, James L. Howell; son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Cammy Howell; two grandsons, Douglas and David Howell, all of North Little Rock; brother and sister-in-law, Rucker W. and Wilma Murry of Prescott; sister-in-law and husband Virginia and Thad Spence of North Little Rock; two nieces, Tanna Clark and her husband Charles of Hot Springs, Jan Roberts of North Little Rock; two nephews and their wives, Steven and Cindy Murry of Gilmer, Texas, Bryan and Lainie Spence of North Little Rock; niece-in-law, Carol Murry; 10 grandnephews and grandnieces. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Philip Murry, and grandniece, Juli Fair Dennis. Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or Arthritis Foundation, 6213 Lee Ave., Little Rock, Ark. 72205. Funeral Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at Park Hill Baptist Church with Dr. S. Cary Heard officiating. Entombment will be in Pinecrest Mausoleum.
