Mike OtwellPublished Wednesday, February 27, 2002 in the Gurdon TimesMike Otwell, 40, of Redwater, Texas, formerly of Gurdon died Sunday, February 17, 2002, at his home. Otwell was a truck driver for T.A. Patrick Logging Company and a member of Beirne Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Susan Otwell; one son, Joseph David Otwell; one daughter, Jennifer Otwell, both of the home; four brothers, Danny Hastings of Little Rock, Jim Otwell of Beirne, John Otwell of Port Lavaca, Texas, and David Otwell of Cave City; five sisters, Glenda Langston of Queen City Texas, Cathi Britton of Royal, Robin Edmonds and Marianne Till, both of Oak Island, Texas, and Connie Hunter of Gurdon; and sister in-law, Sheila Fuller of New Boston, Texas. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Horne Funeral Chapel with burial in Brown Cemetery at Beirne. Arrangements by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
