Narvelle CarltonPublished Wednesday, January 23, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneNarvelle Carlton, 70, of Bodcaw, died January 17, 2002, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Baptist Church. She was born April 5, 1931, in Willisville to Lee and Ethel Marlar Waters. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Shauntell Carlton. Survivors include: her husband, Charles N. Carlton of Bodcaw; two sons, Bobby Carlton and Ronnie Carlton both of Bodcaw; one brother, Truitt Waters of Waldo; one sister, Dorothy Chapman of Magnolia; two grandchildren, Laurelee Harper of Brookville, PA, and Cody Carlton of Bodcaw. Chapel services were at Union Baptist Church of Bodcaw, Saturday, January 19, 2002, at 2 p.m. Burial was at Union Cemetery with Rev. Joe Brown and Rev. Buddy McKamie officiating under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2002. Services under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home in Hope.
