Dorothy Gee

Dorothy Jones Gee, 95, of Prescott, passed away on January 14, 2002, in Clifton, Texas.

Gee was born July 24, 1906, in Little Rock to William Snyder and Abigail Annette Hilliard Jones, formerly of Prescott.

She graduated from Prescott High School and married William Allen Gee on May 7, 1922. She joined the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1938 and was a member until her death. She was a long time member and historian of the First Presbyterian Church of Prescott.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two children, William Allen (Buddy) Gee, Jr. and Dorothy Ann Gee Pederson.

Cherishing her memory are: four grandchildren, Gail Gee Morris and husband, Billy, of Dumas, Ron Gee of Pine Bluff, Julie Pederson Ratliff and husband, Dewey, of Clifton, Texas, and David Pederson and wife, Rebecca, of California, nine great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.

Graveside services were Sunday, January 20, 2002, at 4:30 p.m. in the DeAnne Cemetery of Prescott by Robin Nygaard.

Burial was in DeAnne Cemetery under the direction of the Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott.

The family received visitors at the home of Mrs. Loyce McGill at 416 East 5th Street in Prescott on Sunday, January 20, 2002, between 2:30-4 p.m.
