Hershel HicksPublished Wednesday, January 16, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneHershel Danny Hicks, 49, of Prescott, died Wednesday at the Ouachita County Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his father, Hershel Woodman Hicks; his mother, Mary Abby Gosvenor; brother, Charles Randall Hicks; and grandson, Cody Dewayne McLelland. He is survived by his wife, Luttie McCool Wactor Hicks of Reader; son, Curtis Daniel Hicks of Reader; daughters, Carrie Mae Hicks of Lake Village, Elizabeth Danielle Hicks of Reader, LaCinda Wactor Gearhart of Camden, Pamela Wactor Davenport of Fordyce, and Jennifer Wactor McLelland of Cleveland, Texas; sisters, Shelia Ruble, Janette Hagemeister, and Cynthia Greer all of Chidester, Annette Mitchell of Mesquite, Texas, and Kimberly Garske of Camden; and grandchildren, Sadie and Cameron McLelland of Cleveland, Texas, Freddie and David Davenport of Fordyce, and Tyler Gearhart of Camden. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Chidester Baptist Church with burial in Bluff City Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
