Lassie was known for his good deeds. Always looking after young Timmy and making sure he was saved if in a bad situation.

Recently, an Okolona woman found herself to be in a situation where her dog became the hero.

Unfortunately, Micah Hastings's house was broken into. The door was kicked in and several items were stolen, including a scanner and some rings.

Hastings immediately reported the robbery. The police arrived and searched the residents for any clues as to who was responsible and maybe were they had come from or gone. After an extensive search they found nothing, not even a fingerprint.

Hastings woke up the next morning and realized her little dog had not come home. She thought, "They must have taken my dog too." Upset, Hastings called the Clark County Sheriff's Office and reported her dog also being stolen.

A few days passed and a friend called Hastings. She said, "Your dog is sitting down here a few blocks from your house on some guy's porch."

Hastings called the sheriff's office and asked if they could come and check it out. The sheriff's office responded with a search warrant for the residence because the dog gave them probable cause.

Inside the officers found Hastings' scanner, but did not find any of the other items. The man was taken in for questioning.
