Wylee Jackson

Mrs. Wylee M. Jackson, 63, of Rosston, died December 18, in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born November 1, 1938, in Chicago, Ill.

She was the daughter of James B. and Ronella (Phillips) Lamb.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Janella Lamb Jones.

She was a member of the Harrison Chapel Baptist. She was a graduate of DuSable High School in Chicago. Some of her classmates were comedian, Red Foxx, singer/musician Nat King Cole, Chicago Mayor Harold Washington, John Johnson of Johnson Publishing Company, Don Cornelius of Soul Train. She also attended Daley College in Chicago. She was a retired employee with U.S. Postal Service.

Survivors include: her husband, Haynie Jackson, Sr. and her son, Kenneth Morgan III of Chicago, a sister-in-law, three aunts, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 23, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in the Waterloo Community near Willisville, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Under the direction of Marks Funeral Home, of Magnolia. Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Box.

Visitation was Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pallbearers were Willie J., Charles R., and Ronnie D. Hughey, Bernard and Ken L. Frazier, Darryl K., Kevin P., and Keith W. Jones.

Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Morgan III, LaTray S. Hamilton, Haynie Jr., and Haynie Jackson III.
