Club NewsPublished Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneHelping Hands EHC The Bluff City Helping Hands Extension Homemakers Club met April 8 at the Church of Christ in Bluff City. There were six members present. Other members may have been sick or fishing. The meeting was called to order by Marguerite Tomlin, president. Roll call was by Laverene Greene, treasurer. Those present answered the roll with 'Something that I have as a treasure is only junk to everyone else.' It is amazing what we all collect. Program was delivered by Oleta Nelson and Marguerite Tomlin. They explained how to care for and store heirloom garments, quilts, crocheted table clothes and doilies. Linda Carman displayed a quilt her grandmother made. Oleta displayed several crocheted items and some tatting. Marguerite brought a lovely crocheted table cloth. Members were reminded of The Chicken and Egg Festival and the fair are going to be earlier this year. The meeting adjourned. A prayer of thanks was led by Oleta Nelson.
