Raymond CooperPublished Wednesday, January 2, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneRaymond Dean Cooper, 46, of Prescott, died Thursday, December 20, 2001, in Cox Medical Center South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born September 6, 1955, in Emmet, to William Rufus Cooper and Marion Helen Cooper Nelson. He was a self-employed wrecker operator service and mechanic. He was a Fair Hill Volunteer Fire Department volunteer in Pleasant Hill, Nevada County. He was preceded in death by his father, William Rufus Cooper, and one brother, Jerry Cooper. Survivors include: his wife, Tanya Fowler Cooper of Hollister, Missouri; his mother, Marion Helen Cooper Nelson and Delmar Nelson of Prescott; one son, Dustin Fowler of Hollister, Missouri; six brothers, Eugene Cooper of Emmet, George Cooper of Prescott, John Cooper of Statham, Georgia, James Dickson of Prescott, Jackie Cooper of Prescott, and Frank Nelson of California; seven sisters, Ora Faye Billings, of Emmet, Betty Ferrell of DeAnn, Helen Nester of Dardanelle, Patsy Flores of Prescott, Jody Auld of Dover, Tennessee, Barbara Dijornio of Dover, Tennessee, and Venus Stone of Lakeland, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2001, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, in Prescott. Burial was to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home. Family received friends Saturday, December 22, 2001, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
