Virginia HamptonPublished Wednesday, January 2, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneVirginia Hampton, 50, of Hope, passed away December 20, 2001, in Little Rock. She was born February 16, 1951, in Hope to Ralph and Virginia Ryan Callicott. She was an employee of SMI Joist of Hope and a member of Rocky Mound Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Callicott. Survivors include: her mother, Virginia Ryan Callicott; her husband, Tommy Hampton of Hope; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Jerry and Melissa McWilliams of Prescott; Andy and Mary McWilliams of Hope; Alan and Dayna McWilliams of Hope; one step daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Gary Gathright of Hope; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lera and Frank Bradley of Prescott, Margaret and Bill Smith of Camden, six grandchildren, Joseph and Danielle McWilliams of Prescott; Drew and Wesley McWilliams of Hope, Josh McWilliams of Hope, and Mattie Gathright of Hope, and numerous nieces and nephews. Chapel services were held Sunday, December 23, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home. Burial followed at New Salem Cemetery in Rosston with Rev. Kenneth Grant officiating under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home. Visitation was Saturday, December 22, 2001, from 6-8 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home.
