William Watson III

William Bill' Watson, III, 56, of Donaldson died Thursday, December 20, 2001, at National Park Medical Center, Hot Springs.

Watson was born February 18, 1945, in Arkadelphia, to William, Jr. and Helen Williams Watson.

He was a line technician for Scroll Technology and veteran of the United States Army. He attended the First Pentecostal Church of Arkadelphia.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Watson of Donaldson; five sons, William Watson, IV, of Hot Springs, Robert Watson of Donaldson, Bryan Watson of Gurdon, Wesley Rose, Jr. of Kentucky, and Douglas Rose of Manila; six daughters, Shari Goodman of Little Rock, Melody Lunsford of Malvern, Becky Bearden of Gurdon, Jammie Kuykendall of Gurdon, Donna King of Gurdon, and Sarah Anderson of Kentucky; his mother, Helen Williams Watson of Malvern; two sisters, Sherry Byrns of Hot Springs, and Debbie Payne of Hot Springs; 39 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Watson was preceded in death by his father, William Watson, Jr.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 23, in Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rockport Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Roy Payne, Lenny Hess, Mike Bowerman, Roger Pamer, Timmy Pierce and Terry Lunsford.

Arrangements were under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern.
