Lora RossPublished Wednesday, December 19, 2001 in the Gurdon TimesLora Geneva Ross, 85, of Gurdon, died Wednesday, December 12, 2001. Ross was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church, Gurdon, and of Eastern Star, and the Good Sam Traveling Club. She was also a retired school teacher for the Gurdon Public Schools and had taught piano for 18 years. Ross is survived by her loving husband, Glen Ross; two sons, Glen Ross, Jr. of Hot Springs and Ricky Ross of Gurdon; one daughter, Pat Brandt of North Little Rock; one sister, Dorothy Howery of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 14, at Beech Street Baptist Church with interment to follow in Rose Hedge Cemetery. Services conducted by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
