College NewsPublished Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneVicki S. Vasser of Prescott is one of 69 students from the University of Arkansas selected as a national outstanding leader and will be included in the 1999 edition of Who's Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges. Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual director selected students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. Vasser joins an elite group of students selected from more than 1,900 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual director since it was first published in 1934. Twenty-five students at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia were recently inducted into the national business honor organization Sigma Beta Delta.
