Grace TyreePublished Wednesday, November 14, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneGrace Cottingham Tyree, 88, of Prescott, died Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at Hillcrest Care & Rehab in Prescott. She was born May 1, 1913, in Nevada County to Jack and Lucy Defore Cottingham. She was a housewife and a member of First United Methodist Church in Prescott. She was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class, United Methodist Church, life member of the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs, Rainbow Garden Club, and Fair Hills Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira J. Tyree, who died in 1985, by three brothers, Dave, Al, and Floyd Cottingham, and by one sister, Lilly Formby. Her survivors include: one son, Delmar Tyree and Joyce of Prescott; one daughter, Lou Alice Bricker of Garfield; three sisters, Gertie Meador, Helen Harrison, and Dorothy Grimes all of Prescott; six grandchildren, Ed Tyree and Dana, Anita Maxwell and Jimmy, Jake Tyree and Carol, Adam Bricker, Joe Bricker and Cheryl, and William Bricker; six great-grandchildren, Marla, Daniel, James, Nolan, Katie and Austin. Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2001, at Brazzel/Cornish funeral Home in Prescott, with Rev. Jim Lenderman officiating. Burial followed in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends on Friday, November 9, 2001, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
