Two people were arrested on drug charges by the South Central Drug Task Force.

According to court records, officers obtained a search warrant for the home of David Willis, 36, of Prescott, after confidential informants had bought methamphetamine from him.

Officers with the task force had also observed a number of individuals coming and going from the residence, who were known to be drug users and sellers.

Once the warrants had been obtained, the task force was assisted by the Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Arkansas State Police.

They found about half a gram of an off-white powdery substance in a container in the bathroom and another half gram outside a bedroom window.

Further investigation turned up chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, along with a loose leaf notebook with the directions on how to make the drug.

The search also turned up two used syringes, white plastic spoons with a tan substance in them, two containers of drain cleaner, a gallon of muriatic acid, a videocassette recorder, two motion detectors, two cellular telephones and $1,737 in cash, along with a bottle containing what is believed to be methamphetamine.

Willis was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a class Y felony punishable with a sentence of 10-40 years or life in prison and a fine up to $25,000, possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, with intent to deliver, also a class Y felony.

He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B felony, punishable with a sentence of 5-20 years in prison and a fine up to $15,000, and maintaining a drug premises, a class D felony, with a possible sentence of up to six years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

April Tomlin, age and address unknown, was at the house at the time of the arrest. Officers found methamphetamine in her purse.

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine. This is a class Y felony.

In an unrelated arrest, Marcus Jackson, 27, of Rosston, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine.

NCSO Deputy Martin saw Jackson, stopping him because of an outstanding warrant on Jackson.

He was arrested and searched, with the pat down turning up a small plastic bag containing an off-white substance believed to be methamphetamine.

He was taken to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, where he was booked.

This is a class Y felony.

Jackson is represented by public defender Danny Rodgers.
