Eddie DannerPublished Wednesday, November 7, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneEddie Hugh Danner, 83, of Arkadelphia, died Oct. 31, 2001, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Hight, Miss., son of the late Calvin and Gertrude Gordon Danner. He was the bulk plant manager for the Matthews Oil Co., a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Arkadelphia Lions Club and First Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Virginia Wheeler Danner; a son, Edsel Danner of Little Rock; a daughter, Linda Danner Terry of Plano, Texas; and seven grandchildren. Funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Will Thompson officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
