Gary FieldingTexarkana Funeral HomePublished Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Gary Raymond Fielding, 50, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, September 17, 2001, at a local hospital. Fielding was born February 24, 1951, in Hope and had lived in Texarkana for more than 20 years. He was the Owner of Daddy's Hands Welding and Tree Service, an artist, and attended Trinity Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Navy and was an Active Naval Reservist having served for more than 19 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Jewell Fielding, who died in 1990. He is survived by his wife: Sarah Nash Fielding of Texarkana, Texas; three sons: Chris Fielding of Phoenix, Ariz., Ashley Fielding and Jody Parker, both of Texarkana, Ark., three daughters: Candice McGill of Sulphur Springs, Texas., Pamela Rigdon of Dallas, Texas., and Amber Fielding of Texarkana, Ark.; his mother: Roxie Fielding of McCaskill; two brothers: Larry Fielding and James Fielding, both of McCaskill; two sisters: Adonia Fielding of McCaskill and Pamela Gibson of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren: Patricia McGill and Jasmine McGill; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Wallace Edgar and Rev. Roger Arnold officiating. Graveside service with Military Honors will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Friendship Cemetery in McCaskill under the direction of the Texarkana Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Those wishing to memorialize Fielding may make contributions to the Red Cross New York Disaster Fund.
