Jefferson MoreheadSmith Funeral HomePublished Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Jefferson Bruce Morehead, 91,of Bodcaw, died Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at his residence. He was born January 15, 1910 at Falcon. Morehead was the son of the late John and Ollie Morehead. He is survived by his wife of 72 years: Mary Catherine Clark Morehead of Bodcaw; three sons and daughters-in-laws: William and Imogean Morehead of Mount Enterprise, Texas, Charles Ray and Reba Morehead, and Gary Don and Eva Jean Morehead all of Bodcaw; one daughter and son-in-law: Sharon Gail and Terry Hanson of Waldo; one brother and sister-in-law: Carroll and Hera Morehead of Prescott; 11 grandchildren, Kathy Marie Cox of Bodcaw, Perry Grand Morehead of Nacogdoches, Texas, Laurie Ann Oliver of Hope, Kevin Ray Morehead of Stamps, Paul Anthony Morehead of Marshall, Texas, Sandy Christine Russell of Bodcaw, Cheryl Dawn Atkinson of Conway, Ernie Bruce Hanson of Waldo, Andy Brian Hanson of Waldo, G. Dwayne Morehead of Bodcaw, and Robin Kimberly Hanson of Waldo; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2001, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with the Rev. Paul Lyons and Rev. Charles Walthall officiating with burial in The Shiloh Methodist Cemetery between Bodcaw and Falcon under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
