Sylvia BaileyHorne Funeral HomePublished Wednesday, September 19, 2001 in the Gurdon Times Sylvia Jean Potsy' Bailey, 73, of Gurdon died, Saturday, September 8, 2001. Bailey was a member of the South Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Harrison Bailey; one son, John Bailey and his wife Vickie of Conway; one daughter, Ruth Ann Byers and her husband Jim of Bartlesville, Okla.; three granddaughters, Andrea and Laura Bailey, Missy Purtle and husband, Jim; and one grandson, Michael Byers and wife, Megan. Those serving as pallbearers will be Billy Tarpley, Jerry Don Childres, Rev. James Raines, Tommy Tarpley, Kenneth Anderson, D.W. Bryan, and Danny Tarpley. Serving at honorary pallbearers will be the men of the South Fork Baptist Church. Services were held Tuesday, September 11, at Horne Funeral Chapel with interment in South Fork Cemetery, with arrangements by Horne Funeral Home.
